Okay first of all this building is amazing!!!! It is so clean and is so gorgeous! Secondly the PEOPLE here are OUTSTANDING!!! I wish I could give this location 10 stars instead of 5 because it is that great! I've seen several Independent living facilities all over the Treasure Valley and they just don't compare to level of professionalism that Veranda provides and lives by! Seriously if you are looking for a place to retire, live, or get your folks into this is hands down the best place to go! You wont be disappointed.
I love Veranda! The caregivers are kind, the food is delicious, and the new additions to memory care (e.g. library, garden, theater) are a nice touch.
Veranda has the best leadership, caregivers, food, activities, and residents in town. Ashely's team is full of leaders within the industry. They take time to implement best practices wherever possible and truly advocate for their residents.
My Mom has been at Veranda almost two years... she recently was moved to the Memory Care side so we have experienced both sides!!! The staff is AWESOME and so caring! They show so much love to my Mom.... I never worry about if she is being treated good because I know she is, I stop in all times if the day / night and always find her in a good place! sickening. I thought this would be a good fit but unfortunately after realizing the management barely cared for the well being of their PAYING residents I realize it's not. This is not a place of hospitality or care, it's a place your parents get shoved in the middle of the living room, employees take unnecessarily long breaks and let call lights go off for hours, elderly wasting in their pee and feces. Since the new management cut care staff, 1 woman broke her leg pushed her button and was on the floor for 2 hours before someone came to help her. They fired so many caregivers for false reasons. All the lower level employees are afraid that one wrong move and they will be fired. You can see it in their faces, they are overworked and harassed. Veranda is under investigation at the moment. Not a place you would want to have your loved ones in. Short staffed, horrible food, terrible laundry service, and wrongful terminations!
