I needed a right hip replacement and had 2 other surgeons turn me down due to my BMI. Dr Lara and his PA Micah Tobin were incredibly kind and answered any questions I had. Surgery was done and from the moment I got up from the hospital bed I had none of the pain I had before. I am so grateful he was able to help me get back to normal function which I haven’t had for a few years!
Very friendly, caring staff and Dr. Dr. Lara did a hip replacement for me 7 weeks ago. Recovery has been challenging because I have a lot of back issues. I was still in a lot of pain at the 6 week post surgery checkup. He reviewed the hip x-rays with me and the the new hip placement looked great. He had reviewed my latest back MRI and thought my back was causing the pain. He put me on a 7 day prednisone pack and the pain was gone for the first 3 or 4 days. The pain was back after 7 days. Great bedside manner and great surgeon!
Condescending, no compassion, and lectured me about smoking and telling me I HAD to quit prior to surgery.. His office staff rode and no understanding of a disabled senior in PAIN.. His boss Dr. Lyons worse, surgery cancelled a day after scheduled!! Don't forget the oath you took. Hero's I dont think so,overworked short curt crabby!! Covid no excuse to treat us like this!!
