Dr. Virk gave me the first reliable diagnosis of my pain condition after 11 months treated by various Dentists, neurologists, pain managers, and Spine docs. He literally has cured my trigeminal neuropathy with one new medication. Dr. Virk listens carefully and has very thorough answers to your questions. I highly recommend him!
Dr Virk is knowledgeable and I do not have an issue with the knowledge bearing aspects. However, the quality of the material used in the plastic splints is questionable. Just after wearing it for one night, the spilt started chipping in one place where I bite. You can literally feel the plastic dust. In this day and age, I request all splint providers to hold their vendors to much higher standards. I was seen by Dr. K for TMJ. She did not know how to help me. She ordered expensive oral appliances for me, but they only made me worse. Her solution to this was giving me injections to numb the pain. These only numb the area for about two weeks and are expensive as well. She didn't even answer my last message regarding the lack of progress and pain. I wasted my medical benefit on her services and had to go to another professional and pay all out of pocket. First time visit to TMJ. Great experience; Dr. Virk and his staff were professional, punctual and knowledgeable about TMJ & sleep apnea. The assistant was so kind, everything was great. I left feeling informed and supported by the TMJ team.
Dr. Virk is a true specialist who is thorough in his questions and exams to ensure he leads his patient down the right path of treatment. He listens carefully to ensure he understands the problem and asks clarifying questions, which I have found to be very helpful. He is clear on the goals and makes sure we are aligned on what success is and the plan to get there. His staff is friendly and responsive, making scheduling/rescheduling easy. I highly recommend if you suffer from TMJ.
