Story time! My son and I moved here last February. I searched all over Columbus for an apartment complex like this. It has ALL the amenities, host several social events, food trucks, and even has a dog park! It's in a wonderful school district, and lives right next to the incredible and convenient Weiland's Market. We were also able to get a lot of really wonderful gently used furniture at the VOA thrift store next door. I can’t say enough good things about The Ave and the incredible team here. During a very stressful time for me, I was dealing with a medical situation that required bed rest right as maintenance work on the sliding glass doors (a project being completed for all units) needed to happen. I was very disappointed with my experience due to poor communication from the leasing office. I was informed that there should be availability for the specific unit I wanted at the designated time, which is why I moved forward with the leasing process. However, when the lease was written up, it included an incorrect move-in date. After this error, I was then told that the unit I was originally promised would no longer be available at all. Maintenance was responsive and friendly. My apartment was modern and spacious. Unfortunately there’s zero incentive to remain as a loyal renter here. My rent was raised by 400$ over the last three years, to 1610$ for ~700 sq ft apt. They use red energy for electricity and my bill has consistently been over 150$-200$ in the winter for a one bedroom. There is zero privacy in these apartments. I absolutely love living at The Ave in Clintonville! The amenities here are top-notch.
