I visited The Grand by Concerto on the Strand yesterday and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. There was no greeting or welcome when I arrived. I went to the bar and spoke to Vinod, who was very helpful after I explained that I had a Fork reservation. He was the only member of staff who made me feel looked after, so a big thank you to him. We arrived and sat down at 14:10 and called for service at 14:20. A waitress did not come and take our order until 14:35. We got a flat white, a cappuccino and a rose alchemy (non alcoholic drink). The coffees arrived at 14:42 but the other drink had not. We waited a while in case it took a bit longer but at 14:45 my father went in to ask. Food was great. Prices are a bit on the higher end. It is situated in a prime location, close to a station and touristy things. Decor is nice. Atmosphere is generally alright. There are the occasional sourfly/fruitfly that can be annoying. Service was alright but they forgot to bring additional water. An amazing dining experience. The service was exceptional! The food was amazing. Great location and option of dining in or outside. We chose the outside as we enjoyed the people watching around Trafalgar Square. It is worth the time to visit. We will be back!
