The Grand Caffe Concerto at the Strand is a wonderful place for any time of the day. The staff are always welcoming. Jose especially is a great host, he remembers a face and a name. The cakes are delicious for an afternoon tea. And if you’re in the city centre for work, it’s a great spot for breakfast. I had an excellent porridge with almond milk with fruit. Thank you Jose and the team.
The restaurant has a very luxurious and beautiful décor, which is what encouraged us to visit for breakfast. Unfortunately, the experience did not match the appearance. I ordered smoked fish toast with eggs as stated on the menu, but the dish arrived without the eggs. The eggs were brought separately later, and by that time the food was already cold. We had good service from Carlos. I came with my sister & a friend. I kindly asked him to changed my meal from fish & chips to lamb shank, after we ordered 15 mins prior. He managed to do it for me. He was lovely, always smiling and laughing with us. He was great host to us.
Top Notch - Excellent experience. We went out as a family to celebratemy mum's 83rd Birthday. The food was excellent and the service was amazing. Maria and Sadi were super professional and made us feel very special - thank you! Also the General Manager - Joseph was really amazing in accomodating our booking and requests. Highly recommended...
The location (opposite Trafalgar Square) is premium, and this is definitely reflected in the prices. However, that and the entire ambience of comfort with a touch of luxury (with both indoor and outdoor seating options), is a key part of the experience.The Italian menu choices are wide without being overwhelming, and the service was warm, efficient, and very customer-focused.
