This has been a pretty good place to live. It's close to campus and the price for a 2 BR with all the amenities can't be beat. The apartments are spacious and clean, in laundry units are fantastic. I'm disappointed that the pool opened later than expected this year. The grounds are kept clean and maintenance has been responsive with any issues. We appreciate the patio and being able to let our pup right outside when needed.
I have lived here for 2 years and the first year wasn’t too out of the ordinary outside of lack of amenities( pool is closed more than opened, hot tub hasn’t been functional the entire time we’ve lived here, and slow maintenance). The biggest mistake was testing our luck for a second year. I had put in a maintenance request because I noticed potential mold/ water stains on my ceiling above my bed. I lived at The Grove for about four years. It was not a pleasant experience. Numerous issues in our unit. When we arrived our place was trashed and disgusting, broken washing machine. The water dispenser on our worked for maybe a week and a half for the time we were there. I believe we made three maintenance requests and they never were able to fix it properly. ⭐☆☆☆☆ I am extremely disappointed with my experience living at The Groves. From the very beginning, my roommate and I were put in a stressful situation. We specifically requested a house with a balcony, but instead we were assigned a basement unit that had multiple damages and smelled strongly of cat urine. RUNNNNNNN!! Do not live very here! We are owed our $400 security deposit and under the MN State law, the landlord is required to send you the payment within 21 days of the lease ending. It is now over a month, and nothing. We have contacted the main office multiple times and they keep providing excuse after excuse.
