I recently toured The Hall Lofts and wanted to share my experience! I’ll admit I had some reservations after reading a few of the Google reviews, but I was really interested in seeing the community for myself. Rachel was incredibly helpful, taking the time to address all of my concerns and explain what management is doing to improve the resident experience, including ending short-term rentals through platforms like Sonder and Airbnb, which seemed to be the source of many of the previous issues. The building recently announced that operations with AirBnb have stopped, which is great news. The amenities that we have (golf, bowling, sauna, hot tub, the list goes on) rival any building in North Loop, and that deserves credit. I absolutely love my unit, and the maintenance staff is great. Personally, I have not had any issues with elevators, doors, or appliances since moving here in May. That said, I have lofty expectations when paying a premium to live here. Thank God I moved out! When I first moved in, the building was quiet and neighborly because there wasn't constant foot traffic from new airbnbers every day! The property management group did not notify any of the residents about Flats Life renting 10% of the units to a different LLC "CozySuites MN" who has the units listed on Airbnb. At one point, I had Airbnb guests actively trying to get in my unit in the middle of the night! The management did not take mine or other residents' concerns seriously. I am not one to leave poor reviews, however after paying a premium price for 13 months and consistently being let down, I feel it’s fair my experience be verbalized. I was one of the first residents to move in to the Hall Lofts in July of 2024. The theme of my lease? Overpromised, underdelivered, consistent inconsistency, and no regard for accountability. It constantly smells like weed in the hallways. I have told management multiple times and they asked me to “see if I could find what apartment it was coming from” one time it was so bad that the smell came into my apartment and they suggested I purchase an air purifier. Nothing else. They will not assign you a parking spot when you sign the lease then all of sudden give one no where near your apartment and tell you it’s for the fair housing act. I also have seen mice wondering the hallways.
