Very nice facility with very friendly staff. The restaurant inside looks great and there is a rooftop area that can be used but is secure for safety. I would recommend staying here if you want a nice area with nice people and easy access to the metro. It is not within reasonable walking distance to any grocery store or convenience store though
Our mom moved to the Providence in the winter (2025) after having toured multiple assisted living and memory care residences. We chose The Providence because the facility is lovely, the apartments are comfortable and bright, there are numerous activities offered daily, the pricing includes medication distribution (many places charge additional fees which can amount to an additional $1,000/month or more), and the dining room food is quite tasty. My 98-year-old mother recently moved into The Providence in Fairfax, and we couldn't be happier. The staff made the move incredibly smooth and have been going out of their way to make her feel at home. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and in a perfect location next to the Metro. Parking in the underground garage is easy and convenient. The food is top notch, and both the nursing and maintenance teams are professional, kind, and attentive. Both my parents moved in together this year to the Providence. The staff made the process of moving in very easy. They were very helpful. My family has been very happy with the care my parents are receiving. I recommend the Providence to folks whenever I have an opportunity.
