First and last time coming here. The good: -The retro look is super cool. I had only seen how this place looks in, old timey movies. -Men's restroom is beautiful and kept clean. -Popcorn in a metal bowl? Cool! Our third time visiting the iconic River Oaks Theater! There is no other cinema experience like it in Houston! Truly a one of kind! Historic and legendary! Glamorous and the way a movie going experience should be! The staff is outstanding. The renovations are impeccable. The food is top tier. The film curator has done an outstanding job showcasing some of the best films from arthouse, indie, mainstream, oldschool, cult classics, something for literally everyone! No way I was missing this opportunity to meet Shannon Sossamon ... read more

I know that this is an art house theater but I do wish th... read more
