Located in Northern California’s Mendocino County there is a skunk running through the redwood forest, but this isn’t any skunk, it’s the world famous Skunk Train. The California redwoods, pristine coastline, and award winning vineyards are all a part of the landscape of what makes Mendocino County such an amazing place and home to this 131-year-old train.

I would have to say the staff really made it an awesome experience!
I took my family (wife and 3 kids) and they loved it. The staff on the train was so nice, and they all had elf ears on which was great. An experience my kids will remember, very fun way to kick off the holidays.
We enjoyed our visit for the Christmas ride. Friendly staff, fun treats and beautiful scenery. We especially enjoyed the live music. One thing to note was the speakers in the back car were extremely loud. A few other passengers mentioned it too. Not as noticeable when the train is moving but back at the depot with music playing it was just too much.
It’s was disappointing. Not near as festive as I thought. Santa should have been on the train, the tree lights didn’t work. The signing and snowball fight made the trip. I could have spent $800 on something else.
Great experience for families. It was fun to look out the windows, and the Christmas Troubadour kept the whole car singing songs.
Everything thing was great from getting tickets to the staff had a wonderful time
Lovely train ride.
It was a fun and exciting experience! We had Nick as our guide and he was extremely knowledgeable and beyond patient. On our way back a tree had fallen. Nick patiently cut off a part of the tree while everyone stood by and stared him down. Some people were annoying but Nick was cool and was very patient. Eventually we all made it back safely!
Everything went pretty well. Nice experience. A little more expensive than I think it should have been.
