I’ve only taken a few sessions so far but i can genuinely say i’ve found the help i’ve been looking for already. i put my faith first and i’ve been receiving so much confirmation from my therapist. i love that she doesn’t give me answers, she doesn’t give me tools, I just talk and she asks questions that allow me to analyze what’s being brought up. i can see myself being her for a while. i have my first in person session soon and im excited. for people new to therapy, this is a great place to start!
I met with Meghan Manangón to get a medication evaluation. She was very professional, kind and informative. I've met with Therapy for Women before for general therapy services and they have always been a great place to be seen. I highly recommend their services.
Therapy for Women Center is amazing! I am currently working with intern Debbie and she is very intentional with me throughout our conversations. What I enjoy most is that after every session she makes sure to do a grounding exercise with me. Thank you all for creating a positive and safe space for women of all ages.
I spent 150/session for 6 sessions. I had major anxiety and stress from being attacked by a black woman in rittenhouse square who targeted me for “being white”. My therapist told me that this attacker had 400 years of slavery behind her actions. My therapist wanted me to accept that this is ok. I’m still just in such shock at the state of western therapy telling white people that they deserve to be attacked - but this is exactly where we are in society.
