The provider was unable to successfully start/complete the scheduled tele-meeting, despite my arrival and presence 20 minutes prior to the start of the meeting. I was sent an email from the provider 10 minutes after the scheduled start of the tele meeting, informing me that she would only be available until 15 minutes after the hour. I was referred to Katherine Hyer and Thriveworks after a life changing diagnosis. My first time in therapy so I was not sure what to expect. After 27 minutes of my session, I politely walked out. During that time I was barely able to speak, Ms Hyer went on about her child's medical issues. I was never asked "what's bothering you", or "what are your struggles", it was just a constant monolog of her speaking about her child's issues, and trying to align my issue with her child's. Thriveworks is so easy to use and I was matched with a wonderful therapist, Alejandra Galindo. She is so warm and responsive, and suggested some great therapies and practices that I have been able to put into good use. I’m so thankful Thriveworks works with so many insurances, but not all, so do be sure to double check before switching coverage.
My therapist was wonderful! The billing department made me leave my therapist because they could not get my insurance correct countless times and were billing me directly despite, I sent in my card and sat on the phone now two different times for an hour each time trying to correct the billing issue. They had me at over $1000 for bills when my insurance covered is 100%. Still over 6 months later after stopping the services, they are still trying to figure it out. Forever grateful for Ghada Simon’s . Before her I had a therapist that I felt wasn’t feeding me what I needed. Ghada have made a tremendous impact in my life. Her passion, concern and techniques to help me with my issues is unexplainable but joyful.
