Do not bother, they are a corporation and do not care about the patients and just want your money. An appointment was made and we did show up for the appointment and was not comfortable with the therapist Abigale that was provided and was still charged a no show fee since the call was cut short because of her incompetence and not a good therapist. They then charged the no-show fee and refused to refund it so their state license will be submitted as a fraudulent charge to state board of Texas.
I spoke with Lindsay at scheduling, she was very professional, welcoming, and took my information for my first appointment. A definite face for Thriveworks Councelling. I have a very positive feeling about choosing Thriveworks after a very disastrous experience somewhere else.
Very corporate-y if you know what i mean. when calling, you feel like you’re calling some sort of customer service office. not personal at all. you will be on hold for AT least 5-7 minutes. i’m assuming this is some sort of chain style, multiple location, superficial company. just definitely wasn’t my vibe off the bat. i’m sure they have wonderful therapists on their staff. the corporate company look simply isn’t appealing, especially when therapy is something extremely personal. but if that’s your cup of tea, drink it!
Rosemary Taylor had been working with my son, but the day before their third appointment, she canceled and referred him to someone else. Her reasoning was understandable (they were meeting virtually, and that wasn't the best fit); however, the way she went about cancelling the appointment the day before and did not consult me, as his parent, prior to unilaterally making that decision, was what concerns me about her professionalism. She may very well be a good therapist, but that's only part of the equation.
Thriveworks is a great service that I found whilst looking for a therapist/counselor. I chose Mycael Park to talk to & she has been superb!! I would definitely 100% recommend her. She is a very sweet lady, has an easy welcoming disposition & has been super supportive on my journey to mental wellness.
