I have been on a personal healing journey with a good amount of success but I am resistant to standard “therapy” since I have not had good experiences with it and I almost feel like it’s been damaging in many respects not just to me but to others. I did not enjoy my time-my therapist always showed up a minute or two after appointment and then you only have 48 hours to cancel? When she cancelled (calling me when the appointment had already started and I’m waiting IN OFFICE) but when I miss I’m charged $135?! But nothing when she makes me drive 20 minutes to just not show up? Do not recommend and cancelled all appointments.
I did not enjoy my experience with Thriveworks and will be canceling all future appointments. I was really excited to start couples therapy. I have been in therapy before and have loved my experiences (my current therapist couldn’t take on my partner and I for the sake of bias). Anyways we got assigned to a therapist at Thriveworks and I was really disappointed. She seemed very very disinterested in what we shared during the initial intake session. Working with Suzanne is like sitting with a good friend over coffee. She has such good insight and I’m very comfortable with her.
Amanda was AMAZING! My son has been to a lot of therapists without any positive results/connections, but Amanda won him over within a few minutes of being there! My son is autistic with severe anxiety and depression, and I just didn't know what to do at this point in our lives.
