Called to reschedule within their time frame and was told Id be charged a fee. They refused to reschedule. I paid that fee and even showed proof of payment and they still wanted me to pay again before being allowed to schedule a new appointment. In addition to that, I have yet to speak to a single native English speaker I could easily understand. Why?
Thriveworks was suggested by a partner company out of Seattle after our family had a traumatic experience. I do not recommend them because they are unprofessional and unhelpful. One counselor was late to the appointment and then could not separate her personal life from her work life. The other counselor I tried never showed up for the appointment. Supposedly her power went out. I guess that meant cell towers were down, too. Had I not showed up for the appointment, they would have charged me $120.
While I liked my Therapist, their billing practice is fraudulent. They require a credit card to be on file so they can create charges for no reason. My insurance covers all but $2 of the Thrive works bill for counseling yet they suddenly decided I had a $40 copay each visit, they would not refund it!
For a first visit, I knew whether my counselor was a good fit. The in depth bios really helped on their site. Elizabeth, administration had called me on Saturday so I knew how this was going to roll out. Elizabeth is lovely. Julianne has the background in PTSD I was looking for. She is gentle but probing which is what I needed. She also provided encouragement.
I love my therapist. It’s taken along time to find someone that I’m comfortable with and don’t feel like I can’t completely open up with. She doesn’t make me feel crazy or broken and she gives me lots of things to help me manage my mental health. The virtual option is great for me. All around I’ve had a great experience
