For a couple of reasons, I’d advise against seeking therapy through Thriveworks, or at least shopping around before settling there. This was my experience. While my therapist was good and competent, I was only able to meet with her three times. Two of those sessions were cancelled on her end because of family situations and the third was reschedule twice because of the same reason. Being my first experience with Thriveworks it went very well. The lady I spoke with at intake was very personable and polite and compassionate. My first appt. with the therapist went very also, when asked why I was looking for therapy I think I started talking and didnt quit til my session was over, lol. The therapist seemed very understanding a great listener and gave me some avenues to try to deal with some issues I having. Look forward to my next session.

Came here for help, was canceled on my Amy B. Jones 3 times in a row at the last second for what would be our first session. First excuse was the system shouldn’t have allowed me to pick Wednesday cuz she takes those days off now. Second excuse came around an hour before the rescheduled Thursday at 10am time, said she had a schedule conflict with her child’s school even though she offered that time just the day before. Our first visit with Amy B Jones of Thriveworks went very well. My spouse and I were relieved to finally find someone who seemed skilled, knowledgeable, and experienced as a relationship counselor. We scheduled a second session. Amy cancelled stating she was ill, 2 hours before our session was to begin. We understood. Then Thriveworks began sending us notices to inform us that we owed $135 because we cancelled less than 24 or 48 hours (can’t remember which) before the scheduled appointment. I am seeing Melissa and I feel like i have finally clicked with a therapist that gets me and understands exactly what im looking for in a therapist. I have been to multiple and she is absolutely amazing! It is hard to find someone like her in her career!
