My therapist resigned and I got notification about a cancelled appointment before I got any communication that my therapist quit. I had to call to find out that was the reason why. When I called I was told "you received notice by email on 07/20/2026." This is 07/20/2026 and I have not received any notice beyond an email that my appointment was cancelled. I feel as if the patient should be receiving a text or phone call letting them know that due to the resignation of their therapist, their appointment is being cancelled. Unf... read more
very early in the process, but feel as though progress is being made every session. admitting and accepting the decisions and habits that brought my spouse and i to this point and learning to change those habits is difficult, but neccessary. so far, i would give a 10/10 and appreciate the opportunity to identify what the future might hold and how to adjust to that future, whatever might be in store.
My therapist was amazing. If you get Nakeisha Mcgee you won't be disappointed. I wish I could give this a 5 star rating. I lost power and my phone never charged overnight like usual so I missed my appointment and was charged $135. I was told I could speak to billing in 20 minutes and never got to speak with anyone after a 1 hour hold. If you are wealthy enough I advise you use Thriveworks. If you have a family I don't recommend using them since they just want your money.
I've tried for over 2-years to get my wife to talk to a counselor. Sometimes, I leave home in the morning hoping she won't hurt herself during the day. My pastor's wife recommended Thriveworks. I FINALLY got her to seek counseling. So far, you've cancelled my wife's appointment 3 times, so she hasn't talked to anyone. This does not spell caring to me. 1 star only because I can't go lower.
I would highly recommend Nakeisha McGee to anyone looking for a new therapist. She caters to everyone but as an African American woman it's so important to see representation in this space. I am extremely proud of her and grateful to always have a listening ear. Don't hesitate to reach out and schedule with her. You won't regret it.
