I had a great experience at this car wash; it blows most car washes out of the water, especially that autobell across the street. When I rolled in, the staff greeted me with warm smiles and waves, which made me feel welcome immediately. I was served by a young man named Alex J., who made me feel like the most important person in the world. I love this car wash, and will definitely be coming back.
I gotta say, ive been paying for a membership for about 5 years now. Starting at another location and never had issues. But this one on Portsmouth Blvd seems to broke down and closed more than its open. Over tha past few months, (I usually go once a week. So about 12 visits) ive only had maybe 3 or 4 car washes and have had to pay at a different wash. Close to canceling Tidal wave. Btw...have never had an issue at the location in Gloucester or Williamsburg. Recently moved close this location in Chesapeake.
They are great when they are open. They literally have been closed at least 6/7 times I have been. And went during normal biz hours. I Went today at 5pm. Cones up, I pulled around and asked and the guy said it was because only one person there and he can’t run it alone. Would be another 15 mins before someone else got there and I couldn’t wait. Tidal Wave is the best place to go when you need your vehicle washed and detailed. After the first time I went, I enrolled myself and husband in the monthly membership plan. With each washing, you can get different cleanings - all of which come with vacuuming (you do yourself), tire gloss, and access to lint-free towels and car cleaner. For the money, this is the best deal in town, AND the employees are friendly and helpful.
Decent place with respectful workers, but ownership decided to raise prices 🧐 and NOT provide more service! Then, the cancellation process is a fiasco! I like the place, but not that much!
