I was waiting for the gentleman to open up on Saturday morning who was already late opening, as the shutter went up and lightning on i approach the shop a d said good morning only to hear his reply of I'm not open yet give me a minute to set up! As I walked away he was equally rude to the customers who tried to go in the shop telling them he needed to set up. He might try not being late in the first place and work on his customer service.
In November last year 2025 I took my knee length boots into the shop on Imperial Arcade Huddersfield because I wanted a non slip sole putting on. I was charged £32 and I was happy with the job at the time but fast forward to February 2026 and one of the new soles had started to come apart so I dug out my receipt and took them back this week expecting to pay for the repair but when I asked what the repair would cost I was told there would be no charge 😃 anyway I am collecting them today and just wanted to leave a positive re... read more
I have used Timpsons since the 70s. The gentleman who worked there for many years was always friendly and helpful. Things have changed, the last 2 visits I have called and ended up leaving without buying anything. This was because the same assistant wasn’t very helpful, and didn’t even look at me when he was talking. Not very friendly, and very solemn.
Have previously visited over the years, last time only a few weeks ago and usually been ok. Prices that time were high, but service was ok and friendly (older chap)....however this week's visit will be the last...previous could have had 3 keys for £18, but this time 2 keys and a pair of 50p fobs was also £18. The (younger) man seemed aloof and lacking in customer service skills ... bordering on rude to the gentleman before me ...not recommended.
