The Godalming Timpsons service is first class. The guy that serves me is polite and efficient and knows what he’s talking about. I won’t go to any other shop for my key replacements
Did a great job on my well worn Chelsea boots with a split sole. Hopefully they'll have a few more months of heavy use. Good price and turn around time too.
Tried charging £18.95 for a key battery which I got from another shop for £2.25. When challenged and asked for immediate refund as realised how extortionate the charge was the staff started swearing under breath. Will never go back and would highly recommend avoiding!
I trusted an older male friend to take my Faith black suede boots in to be reheeled. I am devastated at the outcome. The matte finish on the heels has had black shiny paint slapped over it. I can't imagine why anybody in their right mind would do this without speaking to the owner. They were scuffed as I drive in them but I liked them the way they were. Only a 1970 glam rock star would wear them in public. My friend is returning them and requesting they restore the heels. If not possible I will be taking legal advice.
Incredibly wierd, I got given a watch for my birthday emotionally attached, it's broken in many ways need new glass new dials etc. I openly said money isn't a problem he said no it's no its not worth it. Went to the Timpson in London out of curiosity and he'd happily take it off my hands and get it sent off and fixed.
