I went in this morning to get some shoes re-heeled. I've been on plenty of times over the years to do this, and it usually takes about an hour. When we got there, the staff member (I can't remember his name unfortunately) quoted an hour and a half. This was going to be tricky, but we made it work. 45 minutes later, he phoned to say they were ready. He also polished them and tidied a few bits up. Brilliant service, and the reason that my family all keep coming back. Thank you!
Really rude and patronising man, this is the second time I have found him to be rude, first time he was shutting early and I walked in, and the second time he was not able to do a simple shoe repair and gave a sarcastic comment.. awful customer service. I was able to walk down to the timpsons on the buttermarket and my repair was sorted in minutes. I won’t be going back.
I left work early on Tuesday to get 4 keys cut. The shop is advertised as being open until 5.30. I got there at 5.10. It was closed. I went back the next day at 4.20. It was closed. I went back today at 4.20 and the man was busy cashing up and was quite rude to the customer he was dealing with. He let out a sigh when he saw me. Excellent Service! Came in with a broken suitcase wheel that I had a spare to but could not get off. When I tell you this man worked on it until his fingers were sweating. Shared my conviction that it shouldn’t be that hard to change a suitcase wheel. Extremely grateful for all the effort that he put in, and will make my trek to Heathrow all the more easier.
There is a sign up at Timpsons saying that they hire based on personality. I have no doubt that this is true, as Jez was lovely to talk to while my Casio's watch band was being shortened. Lovely experience, will go again :)
