Syd went above and beyond looking after me and more umportaintly my special and sentimentally precious boots. My last physical gift from my mother that I wore to death. Thank you so much for bringing them back to life. Definatley know what they are doing excellent shoe and boot repairs.

Went in with a couple of jobs that needed doing. Lady there was very honest and frank about what could and could not be done. She could have just taken the money but she cared about the reputation of the store and her craft. Thankyou. This is the type of place I can trust. The jobs that could be done were done well.

I’ve been visiting the shop for over 20 years, and every time the staff are polite, generous and good humoured. Just had 2 keys cut and informed of a 3 for 2 offer which helped reduce the cost. Thank you Timpsons Monmouth 😌

Only gave it 1 star because i can’t give zero. Absolutely disgusted with the young girl that works there. She has obviously never heard of customer service or even common decency to another human being. When we arrived, the shop was closed for lunch, later than the time on the sign. The girl walked to the door still chewing her lunch and didn’t say a word until she was back behind the desk, after sighing. I had a funeral to attend and my black shoes needed some metal heels - usually a 15-20 min job in any other Timpsons. The lady serving refused to help telling me it wouldn't be today, even though I explained it was a funeral and just realised my heels were broken. In certain situations, a bit of human-ness goes a long way. But the computer said no. Makes me never want to go back. No willingness to help or make an exception.
