I went in with my daughter today to change her shoe lace, A gentleman helped us, he was very polite and helpful in finding the right shoe lace for us. He gave it for free to her, it wasn’t the amount he didn’t take (we were willing to pay whatever). It’s the time he spent on why my daughter is changing her new shoes laces and how helpful he was. I recently took a shoe that had stitching in the upper that was coming apart. They're a few years old but still got some life in them so wanted to see if they could be repaired. I'd left them with someone there who wasn't sure if they could. Went back a week later to see if they were done, they weren't, apprentices had been training that week and not done the trickier jobs! I think the service is decent, my issue was a battery replacement. I didn’t think to go to Sainsbury’s to buy the key fob battery. I was charged 19.95£ for a cr2025 battery, apparently more expensive as this includes labour, which is basically sliding the cover open and replacing the battery. After replacement my key fob still didn’t work. When I got my car serviced mechanic put in a new battery and confirmed the old one did not work ( the one replaced by Timpsons) after substituting ( despite all testing in Timsons showing ... read more
