This is the best dry cleaning/laundry service in Birmingham City Centre. I have been attending Timpsons in Edgbaston for over 9 years and the customer service is absolutely top class. Mike, who covers the store on weekends, is a true gentleman and always ensures that my dry cleaning and laundry is turned around quickly and that it is done to the highest possible standard. Just visited to have some leather heel pads on my shoes. Quoted £27.95 which is good, to be told by the young lady working there. Oh rubber be better, because she can't do the leather ones, doesn't know how to, as she's just inherited the shop. This is despite leather heeled shoes displayed above the machine, too which she informed me, yeh they came with the machine, we don't do them. Just want to post that Mike is a credit to the business and really cares about customer service. I am always very impressed with the lengths he will go to offer the best service. He is just superb!
I took my almost new boots (costing £125) to Timpson to have the bottoms of the heels replaced. Unfortunately, they were damaged during the repair. Cuts were made in the heels and then covered with some black substance to hide the damage. After contacting customer service, I was asked to send pictures — but no refund was offered straight away. Shocking worker and customer service, I phoned up about hour before asking how long a key cut and changing battery on a watch would take to which lady on the phone said 5 minutes for both. I came there 11 June 40 minutes before closing with my partner and baby and there was only 1 lady dealing with customer doing dry cleaning.
