I visited a number of mobile / electronic fix-it stores in the hope of repairing the hinge on one of my headphone muffs, which was hanging off. No one could do the repair or wanted to try. The nature of the damage meant it would be difficult to restore them fully but I just wanted something that would allow me to use them again, rather than spending another £200 on new headphones! Very helpful chap who changed my watch batteries which were under guarantee but had stopped working. Did not have to wait long . great service Tony is a gentleman , highly recommended. Visited this shop again today and was served by the charming Evan. Changed my watch battery in five minutes. Customer service at its best
We all know that Timpson's service can vary depending on the specific shop, but if you're choosing one, definitely go for this one! Billy was amazing—extremely respectful and professional, and he didn't even want to charge me for making holes in my belt. I'll be back here anytime my shoes need fixing.
Judging by the other reviews, it appears that this place has good days and bad days. This was a bad day. I went in today at 3.10pm with my son to buy shoelaces. The employee was very rude from the moment we walked in, holding a "closed" sign in his hand. Apparently he wanted to close the shop nearly three hours early, as I believe the closing hour is actually at 6pm, and he acted as if we were intruders. It felt like a lot of hostility and drama, so we smiled and said we would be back another day. Of course we won't.
I went into the store with a very unusual request. I was looking for a piece of a leather strap that I could use to repair the carrying handle on an antique wood and leather case. Paul found a piece of leather that when cut to size will be ideal for the purpose. He trimmed a suitably sized strip from a larger sheet and gave it to me. He could not have been more helpful. He understood exactly what I needed and showed great ingenuity in providing it. Well done Paul and well done to Timpson too. Best wishes, Peter
