I have never left a review in my life, the encounter I just had in the Shrewsbury branch with the two men who work there was so dreadful and awful, that I have created an account solely to write this. On my way back from the Bank I popped in to enquire on spare keys for my Carsales business, roughly 6 keys needed per week. We took my wifes watch in for a new battery, after we returned home the back cover of the watch fell off ? so it cannot have been fitted properly [modern watch, never had an issue before] when we returned in a few days and explained what had happened and that we just wanted a refund and he could remove his battery if he wanted, the Man in Timpsons was uptight, stressed and shirty about it all, we got our refund but funny when somebody cannot do a simple task properly and then gets the hump with a customer for just asking fo... read more
The man working there got passive aggressive when I wasn't interested in his unsolicited (bad) advice. This is the 3rd bad experience I've had in a row. I definitely won't be shopping there again!
Took boots in to be re-soled (no mention of heels). Picked them up and the heels had been built up with a leather pad. Thing is, they are very obviously from the brand 'Vegetarian Shoes'. I'm frankly alarmed that it didn't cross anyone's mind that I very likely wouldn't want this. When I raised this I was just told 'well that's the only kind we have'. I didn't even want my heels built up! EDIT: impressed to get a phonecall from head office about 5 minutes after I reviewed. It was very well handled in the end.
This is not a negative review just a friendly warning to any other Aussies requiring passport photos. The Aussie High Commission will not accept the quality of photos printed by Timpson. I had photos taken earlier this week and have been told I need to have them retaken on gloss, printed without inkjet, framed closer and with no shadows in the background.
