So, I was at work and my wife had an issue with the key fob battery on her car. Instead of using the spare car key or waiting for me to get home to pop in a 2032 battery that cost £1 (Duracell) and is sitting in my battery storage box at home she took it to Timpsons in Cirencester. Well the key fob is an older type so the back just pops off, could not be more simple but how much do you think she was charged? £5?, £10, £15, £20, no £25!!!!!! £25 for a battery that I can buy on Amazon for less than a pound! I use Timpson in various locations and can honesty say that this is the best by far. Sam is always incredibly helpful and extremely skilled. The price is always the same, which it isn't at other branches, just an exceptional service all round.
Couldn't replace my watch battery as he couldn't open the back, didn't have the right tools, scratched the back of my watch in the process. Grumpy shop assistant, tried to upsell battery lifetime service I didn't want. Not what you expect from Timpson.
Our car key fob stopped working while on hols in the Cotswolds due to a worn out battery. It was a real pain trying to get our Skoda hybrid to unlock and start without the key working The lady at Timpsons on Fri 2nd saved the day by replacing our key battery very quickly and efficient. Thanks a million!
With Yoda-like skills, Gary at Timpsons (Tesco, Cirencester) figured out my tricky key situation and found a solution in a matter of minutes. Great service and a credit to the company. Top man.
