Great service from Timpsons @ The Gyle! Needed a dimples and lines type key cut which I thought might be a lost cause as Ive been told its not possible from 3 dedicated locksmiths - even told to change the barrel on my door - but got one cut here in 5mins and it works perfectly! Great job, thanks again and good to see they do car keys and remote locking fobs.

I was in here the other day with an expensive garment to dryclean, and got the usual excellent service from the person serving me. However, when I asked if I needed to purchase extra insurance (replacement cost £1200 or so) another employee who appeared to be the assistant manager berated me for asking and not having studied the drycleaning indusry website and told me I was an idiot who didn't understand insurance. It was rather offensive and out of character for Timpson's

£12.50 to “clean” a suit jacket. On pickup, the sweat stains were still there. When I challenged the clean, I was told “it s never a guarantee”. Disappointed to say the least. If you can’t do a job, say from the beginning, don’t waste people’s money.

I have only had a phone conversation so far with Christine regarding a wedding dress to be dry cleaned but she was so friendly and helpful and willing to give advice / not rush me off the phone. I called a few dry cleaners for a rough quote and Christine was by far the most helpful and just so lovely on the phone
