I had a terrible experience today with Timpson in Northampton town centre. I went in to simply change the plastic cover on my fully working car key. The staff member opened it and ended up breaking it—after that, I couldn’t press the buttons at all. I was sent to the Timpson inside Tesco Extra on Clannell Road, where things got even worse. Garage key was cut in 10 mins for £12, however if I'd only seen the sign outside beforehand advertising the neighbouring shop, I could have got the same key cut for £6 from them🤦♂️ As always, worth shopping around if it's standard keys you want cutting
Whilst I like the model of Timpson and it's ethic I would advise steering clear of the Mereway store as I have found it to be: Dishonest Over priced with dynamic pricing in situ Prices not posted up front before work conveyed A Certain staff member being lazy and wasting customer time I would wholeheartedly recommend not getting ripped off and going to another branch where for the majority of my Timpson experiences I have been pleased withbthe services.
Fantastic key cutting service! Quick, efficient, and done perfectly today. The gentleman who served me was incredibly kind and helpful—such a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommend!
