Staff is always great - sadly I won’t be using them this year. I received a bill almost a year after service. Called my insurance and TOPS sent 2 insurance requests to pay. They paid the first and denied the second - rightfully so. 3 months into discussing the bill with their billing company, Solis, I’ve gotten nowhere. They are always escalating the review and never resolving.
I am very disappointed with my experience at TOPS regarding billing and administrative support. Following both my routine mammograms this year and last year, I was advised to undergo an ultrasound due to dense breast tissue. Subsequently, I received bills totaling $742. I am having the same billing problems as others. Agree that the staff is great but they are allowing their billing department to destroy their business and reputation. When I first received a bill from them which I wasn't expecting I called my insurance company. They indicated that I was not obligated to pay it, they were required to accepted what was paid based on their agreement. I’m not impressed with their customer service. First they confirmed my mammogram would not have any costs for me due to my age, and also confirmed the location was in Network. Now I got a claim to pay more than 400$ and it came as another provider, which is completely against the no surprises act. They also collected more than 200$ upfront for my ultrasound , and turned the claim was just 15$. Anyways a mess place, will never go there again. A complete disrespect for patients.
The desk and ultrasound staff are great. The billing department is a complete mess and will turn you in to a collection agency even after you tell them they had the wrong insurance information. EVERY YEAR I get a $400 bill from then that should be 100% covered by insurance and have to go back & forth with these people!!! Filled out the paper work online before I got there.
