Me & My Partner would like to express extreme praise to Keff & Nasko who are staff members in Kingston Tortilla. Not only did they provide great customer service and large portion sizes , they restored our faith in humanity by helping a young woman have something to eat who was eating out of their bins prior. We are grateful to have witnessed and been apart of an act of kindness.
I went here for lunch on Friday and suffered the worst food poisoning I’ve ever experienced. I ordered rice, chicken and guacamole bowl, and that night awoke with nausea and vomiting that lasted until the morning. I’ve been looking at reviews here; has anyone else experienced similar at this tortilla? This restaurant needs a serious investigation into its hygiene standards, and I would warn anyone considering eating here to steer clear!
I have eaten at Tortilla Kingston countless times, but in Nov 2025 I ordered a chicken burrito and pulled a 2cm piece of clear/white plastic out of my mouth. I immediately brought it to the counter and handed the plastic to staff. I suggested the chicken might need to be removed in case it was contaminated, but was told it couldn’t be plastic as they don’t use plastic containers, and the chicken was not withdrawn.
