Californian here. Stopped in on a whim for a burrito and was pleasantly surprised. You can get salad if you don't want rice, the hot salsa was hot, and the flavors and proportions were fine. Would have been happy with it back home!
I try not to make a habit of commenting on big corporate chains, but this specific branch of Tortilla is exceptional. It's staffed by just the nicest guys who are excellent at listening and helping you build the ultimate burrito. So happy they're here to brighten up my day - a credit to this branch and the wider company. Highly recommended!
I've been a loyal customer of Tortilla for quite some time now, and I have to say, the Southwark branch truly stands out. A chain Mexican burrito restaurant in UK, decent quality, fast and friendly service, the waitress explained everything in detail with me as it was the first visit for me. You could get a well balanced meal, protein, veges, carbohydrates from both rice and beans, combined all with Mexican spices and citrusy sauce = an enjoyable meal.
We did a take away from this place for two meals. The burrito bowl is wholesome and the staff is friendly. Quality of ingredients top notch. Two options for rice and beans with multiple add ons possible.
