For anyone thinking about going through this Trinity Health location for a primary physician I strongly recommend going to U of M or somewhere else. I had 2 primary physicians here over the course of 5 years. Dr. Charis Hill (who is no longer there) and Dr. Ross Schmaeman who is still practicing there. I had a history of thyroid issues in my family and when I brought this issue up with both doctors along with a small lump in my throat, they both said it was nothing and dismissed my concerns. I am transferring my care to another office. I feel like all they want to do is bill my insurance. I never feel like I am free to speak about my concerns without getting extra charges to my bill. The providers don’t seem like they really want to help anyone. Good luck asking any questions over their MyChart system. They won’t answer any questions and tell you to make an appointment. Why even encourage people to use the app if they won’t help you? I feel like they don’t care about you.

If I could give zero stars I would. The front staff and nurses are great but Dr Katial shouldn’t have a license. She was BEYOND rude to someone dealing with a chronic illness, was condescending to me acting like I knew nothing about what I have had and been dealing with for 7-8 years. She had zero compassion and got mad at me when I told her I had already tried different medications and therapies in the past. I saw Dr. Katial and it was a horrible experience. I was made to wait 40 minutes for my appointment. During the appointment she belittled me and made me feel like my problems did not matter. Every time I brought up a concern she had little compassion or understanding. However she was more than happy to suggest all my problems were due to depression or anxiety and write me a prescription for an antidepressant. If you go to this doctor's office avoid Dr. Katial

In all the time I've come here, I've not been more disappointed than today. I received a positive covid test over the weekend. I simply called in and asked to speak with my doctor, to be prescribed something for relief, as this infection has raged all weekend. I was told over the phone that I would need to video conference, with some other doctor, and it couldn't happen until tomorrow. I need relief today. I hope it was worth your patient because I will never go to another IHA office. Way to drop the ball. Good day.
