I was quite shocked that James sent me this link to rate his practice but it sort of sums up the ego of the man. I wouldn't normally comment on something in the negative because of the loss of income it may have. I think I am still struggling with PTSD because of the treatment I received at James's fumbling hands. I often felt assaulted after leaving his chair and it took me hours to understand what had occurred. Dr James Main extracted a tooth for me that could no longer be saved. He is a confident, professional specialist who clearly knows his job very well. The entire team were polite and friendly throughout. Many thanks to everyone for their care and support.
AVOID if you don’t want to get ripped off!! Had a tooth extracted here and was told it was going to cost over £1000 including consultation due to it being a “2 hour job and complex extraction needing multiple extra things”. However, when having it done it was not complex, overall appointment was half an hour and didn’t need any of the extra things mentioned but still charged the same price!! Unfortunately gone are the days of NHS dentists, so you have to go private if you want to access dental care. After researching a few dentists in the area, and reading the reviews, I narrowed it down to 2 dentists in Street, but TRUST was the only one without a waiting list. I hadn’t been to a dentist for 3.5 years, and had serious plaque build up on my teeth.
