UnionWest is UCF’s newest student resident community at UCF Downtown and Valencia College Downtown at Creative Village. UnionWest is a 15-story building with restaurants on the ground floor, student services, classrooms and amenities conveniently located on floors 1–5, and student residences on floors 6–15. UnionWest opened in August 2019, along with UCF Downtown and Valencia College Downtown.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this apartment complex and found it to be a wonderful experience. The place is nice and quiet, offering a variety of rooms, both shared and single, to suit different preferences. One of the standout features is the ample parking available, which is always a plus. Sharing because of my horrible experience with this company and it seems by other reviews that this is a wide spread problem. This complex has MULTIPLE rooms infested with cockroaches and management is completely negligent in handling the pleas from their residents. Imagining entering your home and watching dozens of roaches scurrying across your floors and counters to hide. As well as roach FECES in your kitchen and clean dishes. I've been living at Union West for a while and loving it! Nice gym, Subway/Dunkin, and very convenient for classes. The manager has been cool, the unit is a nice size and the events for the most part have been solid.
If you plan on moving to union west i would warn you DO NOT. This has made my first year of college terrible and tramatic. Not only is this downtown it is 30 minutes away from UCF. It is dangerous to always be driving on the highway and if you do plan on bringing a car you have to pay $100 a month and go up at least 8 flights to get to your parking spot. as i would make my way all the way downtown every night there were 20+ homeless on the street next to my living place this is extremely unacceptable. If you are planning on going to ucf or valencia and looking at living plans DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT choose union west. there is homeless on every corner it’s scary and disgusting, it is 45 minutes away from ucf and with traffic is so much worse, the building always smells so weird, it’s not properly cleaned, the elevators have disgusting writing in it. I had to park on the 8th floor parking garage which alone was so awful and would take me at least 10 minutes to get from my room to my car because it was such a hassle. i had ... read more
