UnionWest is UCF’s newest student resident community at UCF Downtown and Valencia College Downtown at Creative Village. UnionWest is a 15-story building with restaurants on the ground floor, student services, classrooms and amenities conveniently located on floors 1–5, and student residences on floors 6–15. UnionWest opened in August 2019, along with UCF Downtown and Valencia College Downtown.

I moved here because I wanted to get a student dorm experience, and I certainly got what I asked for. I've seen fully naked middle aged women in the elevators, guns dropped on the floor of the lobby (they won't acknowledge this of course, but ask anyone who lives in the building), arrests made in the building, constant fire alarms over the washers exploding, non functioning community kitchen equipment, floors smelling like booze and weed, OVERPRICED rent for a LEASE YOU CAN NOT BREAK, no matter how many ROACHES infest every ... read more
One of the worst experiences in my life. In 2021 after my first school year here I renewed my same living space and was given confirmation that I was renewed only to be told a week before move-in was over that I didn’t have a room anymore. Then when I got a new room, I had things stolen from me, personal property vandalized and ruined, and I was asked if I was okay being in a co-ed room which I politely declined they still went against it and did so anyways. I have been trapped in this Mental alsyum- I mean student living apartment building for about 2 years now. I have actually felt more comfortable and safe inside an actual mental ward then I have ever here. During my time here, the fire alarms would go off weekly. There was multiple fights, destruction of property, a naked lady in the elevators. This place definitely attracts the weird. I recently had the pleasure of staying at this apartment complex and found it to be a wonderful experience. The place is nice and quiet, offering a variety of rooms, both shared and single, to suit different preferences. One of the standout features is the ample parking available, which is always a plus. Location-wise, it’s incredibly convenient, being close to several campuses including the University of Central Florida, Florida, and Valencia. This makes it an ideal choice for students. there were quite a lot of people who I know for a fact did not live in the apartment coming to the recreational area on the 6th floor and causing all sorts of ruckus. the general area is really seedy, they posture themselves as a luxurious living place but it is anything but that. please trust me on this, you are better off getting a cheaper apartment and then commuting if you have classes downtown. my genuine advice: If you were to get a room at the pointe at central or knights circle you'd practically be paying the same (... read more
