Was referred by a very close friend. Checked in At 1:55 PM for a 2 PM appointment. The nurse said he was completely open and she took me back to the room. I sat in the room in excruciating pain because of my lower back symptoms -which brought me to see him, for 55 minutes. He did not show up, did not pop his head in to say he was running late and did not appear at all. I left at that point and told the nurse ‘he would’ve charged me for a no-show. This place has gone from great to the bottom of the barrel. No return phone calls. They talk behind patients backs as if the patient doesn't matter. They lied and said Dr. Lubenow retired when he actually quit there after 38 years. That should tell you something is wrong with the place. I was put under monthly anasthetic for over 1 yr with this clinic with absolutely zero pain relief. My physical problems were 100% missed yet rush kept shooting me up with anasthetic. Very irresponsible of Dr. Jaycox and Rush University. Other clinics managed to do the same exact treatments without anesthesia. I wonder how much money Rush made from constant anesthesia bills? He was extremely knowledgeale and also listened. I was thankful for him. He gave good advice and said he would work with me regarding my severe spinal stenosis after I got through my upcoming surgery. He was a bit rushed, as there were many patients there. I am sure he is busy because of his experience and wisdom. I wish it was not as long a distance for me to drive to him ( 2 and a 1/2 hours). That part is challenging for me, but his expertise is worth that stress. Thank you for caring. Chronic pain is grueling.
My experience at Rush Oakbrook surgery center was absolutely amazing! Right down to the girl at the check in desk. Lisa my nurse was so pleasant very sweet explained everything thoroughly. Ali the x-ray tech was great held my hand and everything!!! Barb the anesthesiologist was amazing at calming my nerves. They were all wonderful!! Ali even bought Starbucks ❤️.Of course Dr Jaycox was the star. He is very good at explaining and making you understand everything .
