My experience at Rush Oakbrook surgery center was absolutely amazing! Right down to the girl at the check in desk. Lisa my nurse was so pleasant very sweet explained everything thoroughly. Ali the x-ray tech was great held my hand and everything!!! Barb the anesthesiologist was amazing at calming my nerves. They were all wonderful!! Ali even bought Starbucks ❤️.Of course Dr Jaycox was the star. He is very good at explaining and making you understand everything . He was extremely knowledgeale and also listened. I was thankful for him. He gave good advice and said he would work with me regarding my severe spinal stenosis after I got through my upcoming surgery. He was a bit rushed, as there were many patients there. I am sure he is busy because of his experience and wisdom. I wish it was not as long a distance for me to drive to him ( 2 and a 1/2 hours). That part is challenging for me, but his expertise is worth that stress. Thank you for caring. Chronic pain is grueling.
It was fine. Registration was very stressful! The Rep acted like she didn't want to help me be seen. She was very loud and wasn't mindful of my privacy telling me I had a HMO as if I didn't know that to the entire waiting room. My appt was at 11am I wasn't seen until after 3pm. The RN, Dr. And Assistants were professional, kind and treated me like my health was their priority.
Dr Jaycox met with me before my surgery date and designed a plan to manage my pain before during and after surgery. This was by far the best experience ive had with pre-post surgery.
As usual, Dr. Jaycox is a brilliant, compassionate, highly competent, thoughtful physician. He is patient and understanding in trying to treat my very difficult condition. I’m grateful for Dr. Jaycox. He’s a wonderful doctor.
