Urban Cleaners did a great job on my daughter’s Moose Knuckles coat. The coat is light blue and was stained bad my initial concerns were that the coat might come back discolored and still stained. That wasn’t the case when I picked the coat up it looked brand new again like the first day it was purchased. How are the reviews here so high genuinely… I gave them a brand new tommy Bahama shirt to have dry cleaned and pressed and it comes back with a ton of damage visible. Completely different color and all these white spots all over it where the color was blown completely off the fibers. You can see it 3 inches to left of the buttons #4, #6, #7. So so so glad I did not bring my nicer shirts here. They work really fast though if that matters. So maybe good for wool woven suits or sweaters. But silk does not respond well to their ... read more
Impressed with Urban Cleaners. Was ready on time. Opened early at 7:00AM. Love the receipt copy in the mobile app and the mobile app has a status tracker so you can see when your items are being reviewed, cleaned, racked, folded, bagged, etc. they bag your shoes and blankets or comforters... You can pay on-site or prepay in the app if you create an account and add your payments. I went to the Skokie location and love that you can schedule pickup and delivery too.
I had a peach color dress that had a bleeding stain from another darker color dress and Urban Dry Cleaners was able to get it out. Even though they made no promises they were able to get that stain out and the dress was back to its original color ! Friendly rep when you walk into the doors!!!
They charge ridiculous prices. I had a backless dress with a strap that holds the dress together (see attached). They removed it, labeled it as a ‘belt,’ and charged me $6.29.
