Went here in Feb 2024, hated it. I feel like this place made me more suicidal and homicidal than I was before. Staff don’t regularly watch the doors so someone could sneak into another persons room which happened to me and she screamed at me waking me up out of my sleep giving me a panic attack which staff did nothing about and it happened again during breakfast the next day and again staff did nothing. I’m using my parent’s phone but I was a patient there under the name of Victor Thenekhamsyharath. I just wanted to say the facilities and faculty there were phenomenal. I made so much improvements and friends along the way. Basically I just wanted to say in this review this place works and is the best in Lafayette!!!
For being a very positive and supportive person. It’s hard to watch someone you love be committed to a place like this. If this place has helped your loved ones or children, I want to know how.
Id rather be dead than at Vermillion inpatient! Ruthless people work there. Accept Mona the night nurse who illegally attempted to give me threats of a harmful nature. I want to sue them. And I'm working on that. Gross nasty stuff goes on like employees gossip about the clients...etc UNPROFESSIONAL AND THERE IS NO WAY I AM GOING TO LET THIS GO.
I would not recommend this place for your child. My child was sent here after being involuntarily admitted. I understand privacy concerns, but this place has such a lack of communication that they apparently can’t even communicate with each other. My 12 year old who in the words of the doctor assigned to him is “very child-like” was put into a choke hold by a 15 year old one morning and it was never reported to me until he told me about it himself.
