A friend told me how caring the folks at Village Veterinary are but I actually started taking my dog there because it is convenient to where I live. I have stayed because it feels like family. Everyone is kind and friendly while efficiently and attentively monitoring my dog as if she were the only dog in the world. I highly recommend this practice.
We have been taking our pets to Village Square /Woodside vet clinic for many years. The quality of service is awesome, the vets and staff are helpful and knowledgeable. Dr Amanda Hedges is my favorite, but all the vets are great! Prices are reasonable for the area.
For over 20 years I have taken my dogs to Village Square in Portola Valley. Circumstance and scheduling had us at the Redwood City location this week. I was nervous to not be at our usual location but from the first moments with Shakura, any hesitation disappeared - my dog City (and I) loved her immediately. I have been coming here for five years and have always had a great experience. The staff is caring and knowledgeable , they make a special effort to make sure all my questions are answered, and they clearly love animals. My dog is not great with being handled by strangers but she was about as comfortable as I've ever seen her in this situation.
I feel compelled to warn others about the appalling level of customer service and complete lack of empathy at this vet. The receptionist was rude, dismissive, and acted as though I was inconveniencing her by asking simple questions about my pet's test results. Despite multiple calls and emails, I received no helpful information at a time when I was very concerned about my pets health.
