I’ve had a great experience with the doctors and staff here. Dr. Korteweg is kind, caring, and takes the time to listen, which makes me feel like I’m in good hands. The only downside is that it can be very difficult to get an appointment unless it’s pre-scheduled at your previous appointment. If availability improved, this would easily be a 5-star office. Overall, I still recommend them for the quality of care they provide!
As always, when come in to see Melody Filmore, I am never disappointed. She is awesome and a huge help. What can I say about Dr. Korteweg? He is quite possibly the best physician I've ever had. I always look forward to seeing him. Everyone from the doctors to the front desk personnel really put the "Family" in Waco Family Medicine. Please keep it up!
We love coming to MLK when our PCP is out of office. The staff is always so friendly and quick to get myself or my child seen. Brenda G is so sweet and kind when checking in. Denisha and Mayra are always so quick to get us pulled back and checked in to see the doctor. Highly recommend the MLK staff for not only their kindness but for the great care they provide.
My experience was excellent from reception to the doctor and his superb bedside manner. This office is run with professional efficiency...except why is it soooo cold ? As the office is run with such efficiency, this should also include control of the thermostat, except for that...A+
The doctors are great while you’re there. Getting in touch with them outside of your appointment time is a different story. We’ve called and been on hold for almost 40 minutes. We were told messaging through MyChart would be easier, but that was not true. I’ve sent my son’s doctor three separate messages over the past month and never received a response. I sent a message when my newborn was exposed to RSV and never got a response. I couldn’t even get an answer about whether I needed to schedule an appointment for him. When ... read more
