I was really excited about having my first child with the midwives and didn't mind that it was a more laid back environment. Somethings were a little annoying like some of the midwives rushed you along when your hormone brain couldn't move that fast and I had to repeat medical history continually as it doesn't seem they have access to an iPad or laptop while meeting with you. Avoid them if you can. Rude and you’ll stay on hold forever because it’s one receptionist and she’s helping other clinics she stated. Ridiculous for a midwives clinic. Not personal AT ALL.

The appointments were fine, the midwives were friendly. However, I ended up having a transverse baby & had to go to the hospital to have a c-section. My husband & I were pretty much left on our own once the midwife & doctor checked me. The midwives did not try to come & support me during the c-section, nor did they come & check up on me later on. I wasn’t going to write a review after my first bad experience but since I had a second one I decided to write a review. The first bad experience was with Carrie the midwife. She forgot about me and I waited in the room for about 45 minutes then when she came in she just said hello and had a student come in for my appointment instead. My second bad experience was today. I honestly really wanted to like them since everyone raves about the midwife’s in Waco. The care was very rushed and just not … caring ? I had preeclampsia with my first and they knew my history and it didn’t seem to really make them want to monitor me a bit closer than a regular healthy pregnancy.
