I have been back a few times since this review. I am happy to say he now IS my doctor. Dr. Carlson is outstanding. I recently had my first appointment with him. I am not a doctor, but I take pride in knowing and participating in my healthcare. When he came in, we exchanged hellos and I got down to brass tacks regarding my medical history and what I felt should be a course of action. Dr. Carlson is the finest of physicians. He cares about his patients, and he shares his welcome experience with same patients. One is indeed fortunate to have Dr. Wade Carlson as primary care giver.
Doctor has never seen me ill. The office response is “go to the ER”. Which I did. The follow up visits were less than helpful. When a referral was needed for more specialized care his response was “you are not sick”. Thank goodness for my new PCP. Would not recommend Dr Carlson to my worst enemy.
I honestly wonder what, if anything, this doctor is well versed in. We’ve been seen regarding pain in a sensitive and urgent area, and it was largely ignored and forgotten once the initial test results came back. We tried again regarding mental health, and Carlson was immediately dismissive, ending the appointment with no care or plan given. I have also heard him suggest “maybe try CBD gummies” to a personal contact with COPD. Never again. I would suggest you find elsewhere, too.
His lack of care and understanding of his patients needs is horrific. Bedside manor is a must in medicine.
I suffer from horrible chronic pain from a traumatic injury years ago. My previous doctor was very caring and made sure I had the pain medications I needed. Dr. Carlson just stated that HE thought I would have less pain off the medications, and started weaning me off them. I left and found another doctor who would prescribe me what I truly need.
Very poor, I was looking for a new doctor when I moved to this area. He spent about 10-15 minutes with me and that was it. Was not talkative, did not seem interested in what I was trying to talk to him about. I do not recommend him as a doctor
I wouldn't recommend Dr Carlson to my worst enemy. Quite frankly he is a jerk and has a horrible bedside manner. DOES NOT CARE ABOUT HIS PATIENTS. HE GETS IN THERE MISDIAGNOSES HIS PATIENTS AND THEN LEAVES THE ROOM.
Dr Carlson just seemed like it was just a job. I don't feel he cares about me or my issues. Just wants to get in get it done and get out. I think it's so sad that most Dr.'s just feel that we are a paycheck for them and I definitely felt like he was a robot and gave me a diagnosis that I didn't even have and prescribed a cream for me and sent me on my way. I got a second opinion and Dr. Carlson gave me the wrong diagnosis. I definitely do not feel that he cares about his patients.
