My son and I have been patients of Dr. Nielsen for 7 years. He has been patient and helpful in both our growth and development. He explains medications and treatment thouroughly and answers all questions with enthusiasm. He is honest and forthright with any questions we pose. I have found his staff to be kind and efficient. Working to reschedule and work through billing/insurance. As he works 66% of his schedule through online means, it is a joy to have the opportunity to meet in person, too! ??
My longtime psychologist (PhD) highly recommended I be medicated for ADHD. Dr. Nielsen heard all of my symptoms and struggles that I listed, told me it sounded like ADHD and that while interacting with me he saw traits much like other ADHD patients. Then he told me since I had good grades he didn't think I needed to be medicated.Some time later my psychologist wrote a letter advocating for me listing all of the reasons why I needed medication. got no help. got told i couldn’t be diagnosed with adhd because i smoke marijuana even though i’ve been diagnosed multiple times since the age of 12. got told most people grew out of ADHD. complete waste of time, money and honestly re traumatizing. wish i never went to him. wish i had gotten real help.
How can a responsible physician prescribe a medication that has a black box warning to an adolescent who is symptomatic with Suicidal ideation and the prescriptions warning is about suicidal ideation iinsomnia and nausea?
