Spent several years trying to find a family doctor; and to find a doctor that I was comfortable with. At last! After 5 years of neglect and terrible communication and 3 doctors, a friend sent me a link for a clinic with a family physician that was accepting new patients. I was able to book a meet and greet very quickly. Upon arrival I was quickly greeted and advised to use the iPad to check in. I had a very unsettling experience at this clinic. I checked in for my appointment through OHIP. I arrived 16 minutes late. Prior to arrival, I called the reception multiple times, but no one answered the phone. When I arrived, the clinic refused to see me, which I understand may be their policy. However, a staff member then took me aside into a private room and quietly told me that I would have to pay $120 out of pocket in order to reschedule the appointment. Dr. Derek Chu and his team were exceptional—organized, professional, and caring from start to finish. Dr. Chu was attentive, thorough, and highly professional, asking my daughter detailed questions, explaining each step of the process, and administering the tests. The tests were quick and well-organized, and he reviewed the results thoroughly with clear guidance for next steps. And the nurses were also so friendly and professional. First point of contact; I had to call the office 3 times to follow up to get my appointment booked. They lost my requisition from the hospital so I had to send my copy via email… So finally got an appointment (4 month wait) booked at 7:45am but the place doesn’t open until 8:30am on the website or google… would be nice if they could clear this up at the time of scheduling to save confusion as they don’t answer the phone much. The reception lady wasn’t friendly on the day of my appointment. Facility was clean!
The receptionist absolutely useless and rude. I going to this center for many years . One day I was close by and decide to make an appointment to my doctor. I ask the receptionist to book an appointment for me. She checked if the doctor has time for me but she didn't want to book an appointment saying I need to do it online from home.
