Catherine Aligwara is an extremely thorough doctor. As a woman, I wanted a woman doctor. She’s the only doctor who’s offered to order an MRI for my painful symptoms when other doctors never even mentioned it. She ran extensive blood tests for all kinds of deficiencies I’ve never even heard of. She helped diagnose me with ADHD intentionally after helping me see an actual psychiatrist first who viewed family/school history. I had an absolutely terrible experience at this clinic. What is the point of giving appointment times if patients are going to be seen over an hour late? I arrived on time, checked in, and was told to wait — which turned into a frustrating and unacceptable delay with no clear explanation or updates from the staff. There was no sense of urgency, no apology, and zero respect for patients’ time. This was the worst clinic I’ve ever visited. I was told to book an appointment and come back at a specific time. However, when I returned and checked in, I was told I still had to wait another hour. What is the point of booking an appointment if patients are not seen on time? This was never explained to me when I first came in. From appt time to actually seeing the doctor was over 2h and that was with me actively asking, complaining and inquiring. I dread to think how long I’d be stuck there if I said nothing, as many other patients were just left waiting endlessly. I was moved into many rooms but still no Doctor and the receptionist annoyingly allowed a family to add one 4 appts when they’d only made one. The family doctor my dad has is absolutely fantastic. However, communication with the reception area is very difficult. No one answers the phone. The line is always busy. This needs to improve. Otherwise how is one supposed to make contact. Jyst today I have been on the phone for over and hour. It is busy. Ridiculous.
