I entered into a rental agreement on December 16, 2025 and May 1, 2026, I received a notification after reaching out to the company due to an increase in the amount due on the payment portal which rose from $119 to $164. In accordance with California’s SB702, storage rental act, any increase should not exceed 5% plus the inflation rate or 10%, whichever is lower, which would amount to a maximum of $11.90.
