As a previous resident of 5 years and the coordinator of the resident advocacy group, Positive Living, here is the truth. Ownership was transferred to The Michaels Organization that has an F rating with the BBB for failure to respond to complaints in 2023. The group recommended to raise the height of the chain link fencing to deter intruders. Austin Police Department's assessment was identical. To this day, 4/24/25 it has not been done. They recently had a change in ownership and management. Jennifer , the new manager, picked up beautifully the unfinished certification of my mom's HUD apartment and not only got her rent to a manageable place , but got her a refund of several months of paying too much. These apartments are now managed very well with kind and responsible office workers. And the maintenance is excellent.
Manager is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. She was the greatest while helping me move my mom into the complex. Very patient and thorough. I feel very at ease knowing she will be there if my mom needs anything.
As a residential property this place is beautiful they have made some much needed upgrades. I have nothing against that. My closest relative has lived here for a long time. Has never really had an issue until recently. A senior community shouldn’t need security, however they are not liable when it comes to safety or a slip and fall. Management is quick to respond to requests and concerns of residents. Maintenance takes care of tasks in timely and friendly manner. As a Senior resident I can say that this is a comfortable and secure place To live and I recommend it to any senior looking for a good place.
