I loved the atmosphere at Yara. The server was excellent, and the other employees were friendly and helpful. However, the food portions were much smaller than expected, and the prices were extremely high, especially for students. The food was very disappointing, and as someone with prior experience in Mediterranean cuisine, I can tell this is not up to par. I hope the owner makes some improvements, focusing on the quality and portion sizes of the foods.
Friendly and accommodating service but the food was mediocre especially their pita bread which got hard like crackers in a couple of minutes. Their spicy hummus was good as well as their halloumi and roasted cauliflower. The raw lamb tartar portion was big but underwhelming.
This restaurant is one of the best and an all time favorite of mine. Have eaten here numerous times. The food is delicious the atmosphere amazing and the staff polite friendly and catering. There are so many outstanding dishes on the menu that trying to pick one is difficult sometimes. Recommend going in a bigger group so that you can sample a bit of everything I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT!!!!
One of my favorite places in NYC, the food is amazing you must try THE FILET MIGNON it’s also Halal and THE MULUKHIA, the owner and all of the staff is so friendly and professional, some days there are a live music, overall ten out of ten.
I had this on my list for a while after someone suggested it for vegan Mediterranean food. They had enough choices and they’re clearly labeled vegan. I tried their vegan okra and I was a bit underwhelmed. The sauce was good it wasn’t spicy but definitely not a memorable dish. Liked the decor and vibe. Lots of celebrations that night.
