Raised in Los Angeles and inspired by his NASA scientist father, he pursued his undergraduate education in Economics at the University of Chicago. Then he went on to medical school at Northwestern University. Dr. Bhanji completed his internship in general surgery and residency in urological surgery at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he received numerous awards for clinical excellence.

Dr. Bhanji performed a very difficult prostate procedure on my husband, Carl! He did a wonderful job and my husband is so very happy with the results! Dr. Bhanji is so kind and attentive to his patients. He explains the pros and cons of the procedure clearly and fully. My husband has complete confidence in him. I was called back before my actual appointment time. The nurse asked me pertinent questions and Dr. Bhanji came in within 5 minutes. He came in, made eye contact, and shook my hand. He asked questions to ascertain my medical issue. I found him to be very knowledgeable and personable! He ordered an in office ultrasound which gave me peace of mind. Dr. Bhanji is an excellent doctor. He, and his staff, got me through a difficult surgery with flying colors. His scheduler, his tech, and he always displayed a professionalism and compassion that, on a scale of five stars, I rate as ten stars. Thanks to him, I have my life back.
Dr. Bhanji was great. I had kidney stones too big to pass. He exploded them, and put in a stent, then took the stent out. No pain the entire time. Later he checked everything by doing an ultrasound of the kidney. I have been very happy to be a patient of Dr. Bhanji!
