- Elevators are beyond slow and will take 15 minutes to arrive at times. I find myself taking the stairs so much more frequently than I would necessarily need to. - wifi is horrible and you will constantly disconnect or it will bug out. - unbelievably loud construction noises for an hour or two between 6 and 8 AM every single day, not bad if you live on upper floors but I genuinely have no idea why they cant do the construction at 10 am when everyone is awake or at class. - none of the amenities are ever open or working. - t... read more
The Standard is the worst place to live in State College, without a doubt. First off, none of the amenities advertised have been available. The golf simulator was broken for months. The hot tub was broken. One of the elevators has been broken for a month and there has been no updates about when it is going to be fixed. The management is awful and you cannot get in touch with ANYONE who is in charge of the building. I wouldn’t recommend living here. They have to be deleting reviews cause this place sucks and everyone living here agrees. They scam college students into paying so much money. It’s sketchy how they even get away with everything they charge for. Most of the “amenities” are a lie. They switched my roomates at the last minute. DO NOT LIVE IN THE STANDARD. THEY ARE HORRIBLE. The people at the front desk are extremely rude and do not care whatsoever or apologize for anything when there are issues with the property. We pay so much money to live here and they are robbing us. The elevators have been breaking every other day and they are not repairing them in a timely manner. The Standard has a slow response time to maintenance issues and does not resolve problems that well. I also have lived here for almost a month and was very much looking forward to using the golf simulator when I moved in and it has been under maintenance for the last 3 weeks. They also have construction every morning around 6:30-7 am that wakes me up. Overall there are many things the standard does wrong and for the price of rent it is not worth living here.
